5 Tips for Organizing Your Bedroom
A messy bedroom makes it hard to sleep comfortably at night. You wind up avoiding your room, and you don’t get the sleep you need. Take charge of your bedroom and organize it. Here are some tips.
1. Use a Rolling Chest
Add small spring loaded casters to a wooden chest with a lid and then use it to store off-season clothing or other items you want to keep out of sight. Pull it out when you need it, and then shove it back to a corner or at the foot of your bed.
2. Make Your Bed
Get into the habit of making your bed as soon as you get up. It only takes a couple of minutes in the morning, but it makes your bedroom look better instantly. It also spurs you to get up and going sooner on those days you have to get to work.
3. Keep Storage Bins Under Your Bed
The space under your bed is wasted square footage unless you utilize it. Keep storage bins under your bed to store crafts and hobby materials as well as other items you don’t use daily. Buy clear plastic storage boxes so you can easily see the items stored inside.
4. Organize Your Closet
Decluttering your closet is a gift you give yourself. Take everything out and either give away or sell those items that no longer fit you don’t want. Buy a shoe rack along with some hanging organizers. Shelf racks are great for organizing your accessories. Then sort your clothing to make it easier to find what you need in a hurry.
5. Use a Small Dresser for Your Nightstand
With a small dresser, you can store all those things you like to keep nearby at night, including reading glasses and medicines.
By following these tips, you’ll find organizing your bedroom a breeze.
